Shipping & Returns
The Waves Between strives to ensure every order reaches its destination in perfect condition while minimizing environmental impact. Because the collection includes limited edition books and made-to-order fine art prints, shipping processes and timelines vary by item.
1. Shipping & Delivery
Fine Art Prints
To reduce carbon emissions and ensure efficient delivery, prints are produced at professional fine art laboratories within the customer’s home region.
Shipping Cost: Standard shipping is incorporated into the price of the print.
Production Time: As prints are made-to-order, please allow 5–6 working days for professional production before dispatch.
Estimated Transit: Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 1–2 working days.
Split Delivery: For Limited Edition prints, the Certificate of Authenticity and accompanying postcards are dispatched separately from the artist's studio. There is no additional shipping charge for this second package.
Books & Greeting Cards
These items are fulfilled directly from the studio and shipped via Royal Mail.
Shipping Cost: Calculated at checkout based on the total weight of the order and the destination country.
Dispatch Time: Book and card orders are typically dispatched within 2–3 working days.
Estimated Transit: Once dispatched, delivery typically takes 1–2 working days within the UK (international transit times vary by location).
2. International Orders & Customs
For items shipped directly from the studio (such as signed books and greeting cards), import duties, taxes, and customs fees may be applied by the local customs office upon arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient.
Note: While most prints are produced locally to the customer to avoid these fees, local production cannot be guaranteed for every global region. Customers are responsible for any customs fee’s applied.
3. Returns & Refunds
Books & Greeting Cards
Returns for books and cards are accepted within 14 days of receipt.
Items must be returned in their original, pristine condition.
Return Shipping: The cost of return postage is the responsibility of the customer. It is recommended to use a tracked service, as The Waves Between cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.
Fine Art Prints
As all fine art prints are bespoke and made-to-order, The Waves Between is unable to offer returns or exchanges for a change of mind.
Damaged Items
In the event that an order arrives damaged:
The package should be inspected immediately upon arrival.
Please contact info@jjmidwinter.com within 48 hours with clear photographs of the damage to the item and the packaging.
Once the damage is verified, a replacement will be arranged as a priority at no additional cost.
4. Cancellations
Requests for cancellations should be submitted as soon as possible. Once a print has entered the production phase at the laboratory, the order can no longer be cancelled or amended.
